✨ MEET THE NEW FACES OF CENTRAL PARK DANCE ✨

Next up, meet Joanna Priwieziencew, joining our faculty and stepping into the role of Director of Ballet Academy! 🩰

A graduate of the State Ballet School of Warsaw, Joanna has built a truly international career as both a professional dancer and educator, performing with companies across Europe, the United States, and Africa and teaching students around the world.

Since 2019, Joanna has served as Head of the dance program at the Art of Music Foundation in Nairobi, Kenya, where her students have gone on to earn scholarships to programs including LA Dance Project, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and Palucca Schule.

Now, she brings that experience, perspective, and passion for developing young dancers to Central Park Dance, where she’ll help lead the next chapter of our Ballet Academy.

We’re so excited to welcome Joanna to the CPD family! 🩷

✨ MEET THE NEW FACES OF CENTRAL PARK DANCE ✨

First up, meet Román Baca, our new General Manager!
A classically trained ballet dancer, choreographer, arts leader, and United States Marine Corps veteran, Román brings a pretty extraordinary path to CPD.

After performing professionally in ballet and musical theater, Román enlisted in the Marines and served in Fallujah, Iraq. Following his service, he returned to dance and co-founded Exit12 Dance Company, using movement and storytelling to explore the human experience of war and military service.
He has since spent his career performing, choreographing, teaching, and leading arts organizations in the U.S. and abroad — and now, we’re thrilled to have him beginning his next chapter right here at Central Park Dance.

Please join us in giving Román a very warm CPD welcome! 🩷

A new year begins. ✨

Set goals that excite you. Push past the limits you thought you had. Try the thing that scares you. Trust your training, trust the process, and most importantly, trust yourself.

There will be days when everything clicks and days when it doesn’t. Keep showing up. Keep working. Keep learning. Celebrate your progress, and cheer just as loudly for the person beside you.

Be brave enough to take risks. Be patient enough to grow. Be kind to your teachers, your classmates, and yourself.
You have an entire year ahead of you to discover just how much you’re capable of.

Welcome back, CPD dancers. Let’s make it a great one. 🩷
