A place for friends of The Hartland Players-a community theater in Hartland, MI, which includes both Main Stage and Encore Youth theatre performances.

We are so proud of the 56 youth who joined us today for Beetlejuice Jr. Auditions! Give yourself a round of applause!! We wish we could cast every single person, but the Music Hall stage is too small. If you're not cast, please come back out for Mary Poppins, Jr. auditions in November!

We are aware that the Hartland Middle School parent night is on Tuesday at roughly the same time as our read through. We are going to have the parent meeting at the end of practice rather than the beginning to accommodate our middle school families. Stay tuned for those details after the cast list is posted at 2PM tomorrow!

Again, many congrats on your fantastic auditions!

🖤 Beetlejuice Jr. Auditions are right around the corner! 🖤

We know auditions can come with lots of questions, so here are answers to a few common ones:

1) Do we sign up for an audition time or stay the whole time?
Everyone should plan to stay for the entire audition. An adult must remain with their child the entire time.

2) Do I need to register in advance?
An audition form is linked below and can be completed ahead of time. Paper copies will also be available at auditions.

3) What ages can audition? Are high school students eligible?
Youth ages 7–18 are welcome! The show is a little more spooky than most of our productions, so please make sure the content is appropriate for your child.

4) Will there be cuts?
Unfortunately, probably. We’d love to cast everyone, but the Music Hall stage can only hold so many performers! If your child isn’t cast, please know it’s not personal. Casting may come down to needing a particular age, voice type, gender, etc.

And if it doesn’t work out this time, we’d love to see you at Mary Poppins Jr. auditions in November! ☂️

5) Does my child need to attend every rehearsal?
No. Especially early in the process, not everyone will be called to every rehearsal. Necessary cast members will be “called” as needed.

6) When and where do you rehearse?

📅 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30–8:30 PM and Saturdays: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM
We ask that cast members have no more than three absences.

Are you ready to audition, audition, audition for Beetlejuice Jr.! We invite you to be bold and weird with us next Sunday, August 30th from 1-4pm at the Hartland Music Hall. All youth 7-18 are invited to audition!

Please have up to a minute long monologue memorized and a Broadway/Disney style song to be sung accapella. If you’re auditioning for a lead, please choose an appropriate song from Beetlejuice Jr.

Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday’s from 6:30-8:30PM and Saturday’s from 9:30AM- 12:30PM at the Hartland Music Hall. Shows will be the weekend of October 24th. Questions? Feel free to message the page with questions! See you soon!!

If Sir John Middleton had his way, every carriage in Hartland would be headed to the Hartland Music Hall for the final performance of Sense and Sensibility!

He’d invite the neighbors… and the neighbors’ neighbors. He’d insist no one should miss an afternoon full of of wit, romance, laughter, and just the right amount of Regency gossip.

Don’t leave Sir John to entertain an empty drawing room! Join us for the last chance to experience Jane Austen’s beloved classic on stage in this fun adaption by Kate Hamill.

We had such a wonderful time with Cromaine District Library at our Sense and Sensibility Tea Party. Thank you to everyone who came to our small “Barton Park” to enjoy tea and lemonade on the lawn.

There are only two more chances to come see Sense and Sensibility at the Hartland Music Hall. Visit hartlandplayers.org to purchase tickets.

The kids and dinosaurs in Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark invite you to join us at 6:00PM tonight for our last summer boot camp show! This cute, fun, free performance runs about 40 min. Following, join us on the lawn for a tea party while we take the music hall from the Jurassic period to Regency England for Sense and Sensibility at 7:30PM! It’s a great day for theatre in Hartland! 🦕 👑 🦖

The Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark summer camp was visited by a very friendly Tyrannosaurus Rex today!! This dino wandered over from Cromaine District Library with the Dinosaurs Before Dark Magic Tree House books for our campers!! No need to worry Hartland residents, she’s a very friendly T-Rex. 🦖📕 🎭
