π¬ Andrzej Wajda: Cinema, History, and Moral Courage π΅π±
Few filmmakers captured the struggles, triumphs, and contradictions of the twentieth century as powerfully as Andrzej Wajda (1926β2016). One of the giants of world cinema, Wajda spent nearly six decades exploring war, political power, revolution, and the moral choices people face when history places them under extraordinary pressure.
Presented in partnership with Central Connecticut State University CCSU Polish Studies Program, this September series brings six landmark films spanning Wajda's remarkable career to Cinestudio, accompanied by guest scholars and discussions that help illuminate the films and their historical context.
