We would like to take another moment to personally thank all of our PayPal donors! You helped us raise $1,166! We would also like to thank our generous concert goers who purchased glow sticks and candy. You helped us raise an additional $865! That brought us two-thirds of the way to our goal and is very appreciated. The Paypal fundraiser will be active for one more week if you would like to help us make it all the way to our goal. Last but not least, Guitar Under The Stars wouldn't be possible without it's heart and soul, Daniel Salazar, Jr. Without his artistic vision and hard work, Guitar Under The Stars would have remained just an idea. Praised internationally for his warm, virtuosic playing, his solo, chamber, and orchestral performances have been enjoyed by audiences in over 12 countries. His quest to reach new audiences has led Salazar to explore and create a unique repertoire of original compositions that cross stylistic boundaries, combining the traditions of the Spanish classical guitar with other styles that influenced his musical development. I asked him the same question I asked everyone else, what is your favorite part of Guitar Under The Stars? Here is his response, "It’s hard to pick one favorite part of GUS. First, I get to play my music with extraordinary musicians. It’s also amazing how so many people from different backgrounds and walks of life come together in Hartford to enjoy an evening of beautiful music under the stars. I’m grateful and humbled.
I hope to see everyone come out on Sunday, we have an amazing program of new music and GUS favorites for you!"

Guitar Under The Stars wouldn't be possible without the amazing talent of our musicians!
Our second special guest performer Sharina De Leon is joining Guitar Under The Stars for the first time however, she has been performing since she was 6 years old, with her family (Familia Sanabria) in Puerto Rico. They perform traditional music from Puerto Rico. Her favorite part of performing is to connect with other people through the music and her goal is keep spreading her culture everywhere she goes. She said, “I’m excited about GUS. I can't wait to share the stage with so many talented musicians and I hope the crowd enjoys this amazing repertoire. ¡No se lo pueden perder!”

Guitar Under The Stars wouldn't be possible without the amazing talent of our musicians! Rex Denton has been a part of GUS since 2013! His favorite part about performing in Guitar Under The Stars is, “Daniel’s ensemble embodies a level of originality, excitement and musical integrity that is at once special and rare in how it draws the audience into an immersive artistic experience. I look forward to continuing Daniel’s Musical journey!” Rex lives in Plymouth Massachusetts, and enjoys sailing cooking and gardening
