Alma De La Tierra📍Boston, MA 🇨🇴

My new mural for Hispanic Heritage Month at KPMG’s Boston office. I created this mural as a tribute to my Colombian roots and my love for its nature and wildlife. You know I love a good portrait so I painted a Colombian woman wearing indigenous jewelry and gorgeous Colombian plants and flowers growing from her hair. Colombia is the second most biodiverse country on the planet and I’m taking advantage of any opportunity to paint about it. The yellow butterfly on her finger is inspired by the symbolism in the book One Hundred Years of Solitude. 🦋🌺

Always a pleasure to work with thank you for being the best coordinators and full of support and thank you to the team at KPMG for the opportunity to bring some culture to the office.. and all the snacks!

New mural!: "Speranza/ Hope" by MICAELA in Aielli, Italy for Borgo Universo.

Micaela Levesque: My piece is titled Speranza/ Hope and it’s meant to honor the sacrifice and strength of Italian immigrants who traveled to the USA in the 1890’s in hopes of creating a better future.

SPERANZA📍Aielli, Italy

One of the most amazing highlights of my career has been the opportunity to paint a mural in the beautiful little town of Aielli, Italy. I was honored to be selected by the town’s mayor Enzo to contribute to their open air museum where mural artists from around the world are creating murals to drive their tourism.

Im super grateful to all of the people who coordinated and helped me throughout the project Pierluigi, Emanuela, Mario,Rosanna, Mateo, and the rest of their team 🙏🏼 This mural wouldn’t exist without my generous sponsor Ernesto Salvi , who grew up in Avezzano and requested for me to honor the story of immigration between Italy to USA/ Canada, something that means so much to him and thousands of people in the tri-state area.
