Living Legend Among Us!
"Building The Ancestors "
This past year has been a very emotional journey for me. Partly due to the loss of some of my very dear, respected and close family and friends. Also just experiencing emotional sadness that is affected my ability to take action on things I normally would. That being said I've been pondering. What am I going to do this December 2024?

Remembering a conversation I had with Brotha Abu in my third year of celebrations of Living Legend Among Us celebrations in 2015
Brotha Abu asked me " what are you going to do to recognize those who have already transitioned and have left a legacy for many of us here thus the birth of "Building the Ancestors!"

Beginning on December 20th, 2024, KLARUE will be celebrating by remembering those whose lives made a difference in ours.
Live tributes will be presented December 20 through the 22nd and this healing exhibit "Building the Ancestors" will be on exhibition until January 7th,2025.

FootLights Performing Arts & Education Program LLC FootLights ArtsEducation FootLights has been apart of the arts and culture fabric for over 15 years here in Ms. Deb’s work and dedication still lives on in all we do. Today this cart is being donated to someone who is currently homeless and decided to start new and needed a cart to transfer his things. He was very appreciative for this trusty cart that has served carrying FootLights equipment and show needs for over 10 years. THANK YOU 🙏🏾 FootLights is still serving the needs of the community one Human at a time🥰

Fun fact: when I worked for FootLights I also grew up in FootLighs where I had my first two beautiful girls! They are not babies anymore they are young ladies now 11 & 13!!!! FootLights Performing Arts & Education Program LLC has been apart of their upbringing and a way for me to continue my art and be a MOM. I’m forever grateful for Miss DEB for the lessons and the space to be a and an FullTime!

It’s been a mighty looooooong time FootLighters. And a change has had to come. FootLights is revamping and looking forward to building up in a whole new way. The excitement is HUGE and the anticipation is strong but you will be informed all the way🙌🏾🤩🫶🏾.
