🧡RHYTHM RISING 2026 ~ THANK YOU!🧡

We’ve been saying it since the weekend ended: this was the best Rhythm Rising yet… Three generations of drummers sharing the stage… From master drummers, to beginners, and everyone in between playing together.

👏 Incredible teachers and classes. Amazing dancing. Epic drum circles. Old traditions and new expressions living side by side. The greatest highlight was the community itself.🪘

Our subtitle is “Cultivating Joy & Harmony,” and this year, we truly created that together. There was such a palpable spirit of joy, harmony, and mutual respect throughout the weekend.

🕊️Elders were honored & new friendships were made. It was beautiful to see our shared love of drumming— how good it makes us feel and how it brings us together— finding new life through gatherings like this.

AND through it all, Nature blessed us with surprisingly perfect temperatures, and even the rain arriving at just the right times! 🌦️🌈🌞

Thank you to everyone who showed up, taught, performed, vended, volunteered, and worked behind the scenes. You made all the work that goes into Rhythm Rising worth it. ❤️‍🔥

Discover the rhythms of the cajón with Salvadoran drummer, percussionist, teacher and facilitator Caleb Leiva.

This hands-on workshop will explore foundational sounds, rhythmic patterns, coordination and musical expression through the powerful voice of the cajón.

Caleb began drumming at age 13 and later studied percussion at CENAR. His musical experience spans orchestral percussion, traditional folk music, flamenco, jazz, rock and Afro-Cuban rhythms.
