AUDITION FORMS FOR DISNEY FROZEN, JR. ARE LIVE ON THE RAGGED EDGE COMMUNITY THEATRE WEBSITE RAGGEDEDGETHEATRE.ORG AS OF TODAY MONDAY, JULY 27TH, 2026. ALL AUDITION FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED ON THE WEBSITE BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 7TH AT 7:00 P.M.

Auditions for “DISNEY FROZEN, JR.” will be held Saturday, August 8th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with Callbacks scheduled for Sunday, August 9th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Ragged Edge Community Theatre located at 111 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Ages 6-18 are eligible!

Disney’s smash hit movie comes to the RECT stage this November as Princesses Anna and Elsa face danger and discover the power of sisterhood. Loaded with magic, adventure and plenty of humor, “FROZEN, JR.” will be directed by RECT’s Managing Director Allan Barlow, Music Direction will be by Lori Patterson with Choreography by Ami Wilcox. Judy Machal Barlow will be Producer & Costumer with Katie King as Stage Manager. This outstanding seasoned Production Team brings many years of musical theatre experience to the RECT stage.

For Saturday auditions, please be prepared to sing a 16-bar cut of any Disney or Broadway song of your choosing. Auditioners should bring recorded accompaniment music on their phone or other device. NO ACAPELLA AUDITIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please wear comfortable shoes for dancing … no flip flops or crocs! There is no need for a prepared monologue because you will be asked to read scenes and cuttings from the script of “DISNEY FROZEN, JR”. at Callbacks.

Public performance dates are scheduled for November 13-15 and 20-22, 2026. In addition, there will be school matinees on November 17, 18, 19, and 20, 2026.

After an exciting weekend of auditions and callbacks, Director Skylar Hensley and Ragged Edge Community Theatre are proud to announce the amazing cast of STEEL MAGNOLIAS!

This hilarious and touching tribute to Southern women will open on the RECT stage Friday, September 25th at 7:00 and play for two weekends closing on Sunday, October 4th.

Dear RECT Friends …

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of this year’s 10-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL. This decision was not made lightly, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to move forward with the event as planned. RECT finds itself in the midst of replacing our HVAC units along with a major lobby renovation at this time. The comfort and safety of our patrons, actors, crew, volunteers, etc. must be our top priority.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of our theatre community. We remain committed to bringing you inspiring performances of STEEL MAGNOLIAS, DISNEY FROZEN, JR. and A CHRISTMAS CAROL this fall. We hope to see all of you at these productions.

AUDITION REMINDER FOR STEEL MAGNOLIAS directed by Skylar Hensley!

Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at RECT located at 111 South Main Street beginning at 10:00 a.m. Auditionees should come prepared to perform a contemporary monologue (written after 1970), comedic or dramatic, approximately one minute in length. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 2:00 with readings from the STEEL MAGNOLIAS script.
Audition forms need to be completed on the RECT website raggededgetheatre.org. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING AN AUDITION FORM WILL BE FRIDAY, JULY 24, 2026 AT 5:00 P.M.
Performance dates will be September 25-27 and October 2-4, 2026 at Ragged Edge Community Theatre in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.

Ragged Edge Community Theatre is proud and excited to announce Skylar Hensley will be directing our upcoming production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS scheduled to take the stage in September 2026!

Skylar is a recent graduate of Centre College, earning a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and English. She has directed multiple productions, including "Eurydice" and "Exit", "Pursued by a Bear" at Centre College. She has also acted in multiple productions, including "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (Narrator), "Inherit the Wind" (Rachel Brown), and "Steel Magnolias" (Shelby Latcherie).

The title, STEEL MAGNOLIAS says it all ... “As delicate as magnolias but as tough as steel” ... for this production in RECT’s “A Season of Nostalgia”. There are eccentric characters a plenty in this perennial favorite about the bond among a group of Louisiana women. Both a comedy and a tearjerker STEEL MAGNOLIAS is a hilarious and touching tribute to the strength and resilience of southern women. Six (6) women are needed for our cast to play the roles of Truvy, Annelle, Shelby, M’Lynn, Ouiser, and Clairee.
