This week was our very first rehearsal and a spontaneous “sing a long” for the infamous “Tomorrow” just for fun with Isla Terrell playing the title role of “Annie”!

ANNIE CAST ANNOUNCEMENT!

Casting a show is like assembling a large jigsaw puzzle. It can literally take hours for The Production Team to piece together the right cast to complete the final picture!

We would want everyone to remember being in a show is being on a team. Every single player on the team is vital to the success of the whole piece. Remember that the ENSEMBLE is considered a role. NO ONE ACTOR is more important than any other actor onstage. It really does take a village to make the magic happen!

ANNIE’s Production Team is continuing to finalize our Cast List for RECT’s upcoming summer musical! Hopefully in the next few days (after Director Allan Barlow has spoken to each of you …), we will be able to make public an amazingly talented group of actors that will bring ANNIE to life on stage!

If you auditioned for ANNIE this past weekend, please let us know if you have a dog allergy! We have a very handsome dog that has been cast in the role of Sandy and we would want to be prepared!

RECT had such an amazing turnout today for ANNIE auditions at our theatre in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. So much talent in our local communities! We have prepared a list for Callbacks tomorrow, Sunday, March 15th @ 2:00 p.m. to answer more casting questions. If you do not see your name on this list, it does not mean that you will not be cast ... it just means The Production Team has seen what they needed.

For the young actors auditioning for orphan roles, we are attaching a sample of the ANNIE script the girls will be reading from tomorrow during Callbacks to give them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the scene.

There will be script readings with more singing and dancing, so please wear comfortable clothes and shoes tomorrow!

Maybe the Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow as we begin the journey to our summer musical production of the Tony Award winning ANNIE!

DEADLINE FOR AUDITION FORM SUBMISSIONS IS FAST APPROACHING FOR RECT'S UPCOMING PRODUCTION OF ANNIE THE MUSICAL.

This production will be the full length version of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical! There will be parts for youth but also some great parts for adults of all ages as well!

AUDITION REMINDER FOR THIS WEEKEND to be a part of RECT's upcoming musical production of ANNIE!

Auditions are Saturday, 3/14 at 10:00 a.m. with Callbacks on Sunday, 3/15 at 2:00 p.m. Deadlines are approaching quickly. All audition information is available on the theatre's website raggededgetheatre.org

The Production Team for ANNIE will be Allan Barlow - Director, Bethany Fuller - Musical Director, Amy Wilcox - Choreographer, Judy Machal Barlow - Producer, Stage Manager - Sid Woolcott, and Costumer - Rebecca Springs. These folks represent a lot of years of musical theatre experience to help put ANNIE on stage!

AUDITIONS for Ragged Edge Community Theatre’s upcoming production of the smash hit musical ANNIE will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with Callbacks on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. on stage at RECT, 111 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, Kentucky. ANNIE on our local stage is being made possible by a generous grant from the Trim Masters Charitable Foundation, Inc.

This hopeful, nostalgic musical set in New York City during The Great Depression was a massive Broadway hit winning 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical. RECT’s production of ANNIE will be directed by Allan Barlow with Musical Direction by Bethany Fuller and Choreography by Ami Wilcox.

Roles are available for youth and adults over the age of 6! Please be prepared to sing 16 bars of a show tune that shows your voice to best advantage. Everyone must sing with accompaniment, so we are asking that you submit your accompaniment track to Music Director, Bethany Fuller at her email [email protected] no later than Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. There is no need for a prepared monologue because we will be doing readings from the ANNIE script at Callbacks. Also, there will be some dancing/choreography at both Saturday Auditions and Sunday Callbacks, so please bring comfortable shoes to change into for this portion of the process.

Audition forms need to be completed on the RECT website raggededgetheatre.org no later than Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

Public performances are scheduled for June 19-21 and 26-28, 2026. Please note there will also be some Saturday Work Calls for building sets, etc. or possibility Saturday rehearsals if needed. ATTENDANCE AT THESE WILL BE REQUIRED AS SCHEDULED!

WINNIE THE POOH takes to the stage for its final performance today (Sunday 3/1) at 3:00!
This cast of young actors have done an amazing job bringing the story of Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Owl and the rest of the 100 Acre Wood Friends to life at Ragged Edge Community Theatre!
