This video shows the reason why Pioneer Days was moved to Old Fort Harrod. Many people think Pioneer Days was ruined when moved off Chiles St, we think it was given a truer purpose. Pioneer Days is about honoring James Harrod and the other settlers who founded Old Fort Harrod and this city. We do have fun entertainment, inflatables, a stilt walker, wrestling, and shopping, but we also have our Pioneer village with reenactors, a cooking display of food from the Pioneer Days, discounted pricing in Fort Harrod on Saturday, and demonstrations inside the fort throughout the day. Old Fort Harrod is a great location to honor what Pioneer Days is truly about and we love our Fort. Less than 2 months away! Come out August 13th-15th to see what we have to offer this year!

We will cap at 10 participants per category. The pageant is open to ALL Ky counties, just like last year. Once we receive the 10th participant that category will be removed from the registration. Tiny Miss is full. If there are any unpaid contestants by July 31st we will reopen registration on August 1st. Make sure to put in your registrations quickly.
Children ages 0-2 will compete in our baby contest. Registration will be open Tuesday. It will be closed to Mercer County residents only, and free to participate.

Meet Brittany Nichols, our 2026 Pioneer Days Pageant director!

“My name is Brittany Nichols, and I am honored and excited to serve as the Director of the 2026 2nd Annual Pioneer Days Pageant and Baby Show!
Pageantry has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. I grew up competing in pageants, learning valuable lessons in confidence, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Over the years, I've also had the privilege of serving as a pageant judge, which has given me an even greater appreciation for the hard work and dedication that contestants bring to the stage.

I am passionate about creating a positive, fun, and memorable experience for every participant and family involved. My goal is to continue growing this event while celebrating the beauty, personality, and accomplishments of each contestant.

I can't wait to meet all of our contestants and families and make the 2026 2nd Annual Pioneer Days Pageant and Baby Show our best year yet! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful community tradition.”

Baby contest registration will be posted later this week. Registration will be required this year, only open to Mercer County residents, and free to participate. The pageant is open to all KY counties, and is $30 with a $5 optional photogenic entry.
