High Street Painters

High Street Painters High Street Painters is the studio of Andréa Scheidler. Artist members paint together. Lessons. High Street Painters was founded in 2008 by a group of friends.

The group meets and paints together on a regular basis. We welcome visitors to paint with us, and occasionally admit new members. The group includes both members who paint for pleasure, and those who pursue painting as a major occupation. Andrea Scheidler organizes the group and invites artist friends and acquaintances to teach in this spacious and accessible studio space. Non-members are welcome to join workshops on a space available basis.

One of my favorite Andrew Wyeth paintings is in the collection of the New Salem Art Museum in New Salem, Massachusetts.
On my first of what I’m sure will be many visits to this relatively new museum, David Gray and I had a nice long talk with Museum Director, artist, Michael Klein .
The museum boasts a beautiful small collection of contemporary and historic classical realism. Not to miss!
