🌈 HAPPY PRIDE MONTH 🌈
June is a time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, the beauty of living authentically, and the countless individuals who have made it possible for others to do the same.

While Pride is filled with joy, love, and celebration, it is also a time to reflect. We recognize the history of the LGBTQIA+ rights movement, honor those who fought for visibility and equality, and acknowledge the discrimination, prejudice, and challenges that many members of the community have faced, and continue to face, today.

In UNAC, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and empowered to be themselves. We are grateful for the diverse voices, experiences, and identities that strengthen our group, our campus, and our community.

This month, we encourage you to celebrate love in all its forms, uplift LGBTQIA+ voices, continue learning, and stand against hate and discrimination wherever it appears. Pride is not only about acceptance, it’s about creating a world where everyone can thrive exactly as they are.

To everyone celebrating this month: we see you, we support you, and we’re so glad you’re here. Thank you for sharing your light, your stories, and your voices with the world. 🏳️‍🌈✨💜

We have only one send off left, and we are highlighting senior Erika Hinson! Erika is a fall 2022 newb, and while in Unac, served as treasurer 2023-2024 and 2025-2026! Erika is graduating with a BS in Communication Science and Disorders!

Favorite Unac Memory? : “Too many to choose! But farmapalooza and the EP release party last year were epic! I’m also gonna miss hanging out before rehearsals :)”

Advice for Unac? : “First, remember to have fun on stage!! Singing and dancing with your talented best friends is a rare kind of love… so take full advantage of it! Also make time for yourself and your school work, it’s okay to take a breather when you need it!”

Plans for After Graduation? : “I will be attending Grad School in August!”

Fave Unac Memory? : “Making weekly dinners with rachie, kait, and maddy, the drive to farms with suarez and the triplets, and the ep release party last year!”

Advice for Unac? : “While music is inportant, never forget to have fun!! Try not to take it too seriously because you won’t remember the stress but you will remember the inside jokes, carpooling convos, and bonding nights!”

Plans for After Grad? : “I will be teaching 3rd Grade in Chesterfield County, VA!”

it’s that time of year! SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS!!

today, we are highlighting senior Alexis Crosen! Alexis joined UNAC fall of 2025, and is graduating with a BA in English :-) Alexis is a shining light in unac, and we are so sad to see her go!

Fave Memory? : “My favorite memory was waiting in the freezing cold for Liz to come outside and we ended up singing “Don’t Speak” to try and lure her out!”

Advice for UNAC? : “Don’t take anything too seriously; remember, you are here to have fun and make memories with some slay people!”

Plans for after Graduation? : “I will be moving back home and hopefully getting a decent job!”
