Language of Love - Harrisonburg

Language of Love - Harrisonburg Language of Love is a public sculpture scheduled to be unveiled in October, 2020 in downtown Harrisonburg.

It is being created by the artist Jeffrey Guinn, and is sponsored by the Arts Council of the Valley and Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance.

New artwork neighbor! This piece by Jeff Guinn is part of the Opening Doors public art project, put on by The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham and Arts Council of the Valley. The project features 20 doors by 20 artists, displayed throughout downtown Harrisonburg.

The Language of Love project has been a labor of love for Artist Jeff Guinn, who addressed the 50+ people who turned out yesterday to officially celebrate the sculpture’s completion; and to reveal a new sign thanking the sponsors and volunteers who transformed the vision into reality. The public art project, created to visually visually represent the inclusive and multicultural nature of Harrisonburg and the surrounding area, began in 2018 as a partnership between Arts Council of the Valley, Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, and Harrisonburg City Public Schools.
