Set 20 years after what would seem to have been “the apocalypse” humanity is rebuilding. Silent Night aims to provide an intense player experience. Silent Night: Silent Night is a brand new LARP at Burgundar that attempts to bridge the gap between nordic style play, and brutal boffer combat. Throughout the experience participants will be faced with moral challenges, and real physical and emotional
struggles. IF, Internal Forces, is the consolidation of remaining US, Canadian and Mexican forces that made it back to the homeland. With each nation unable to support the logistical efforts of controlling these forces, emergency protocols were put in place to allow regional commanders to make decisions. As a player in Silent Night you are part of an outpost responsible for collecting natural resources for the larger nearby colony. In addition to resource collection players are often ambassadors of the Internal Forces and are attempting to solidify their standing in the local area. Silent Night is a “deadly” game, at character creation you’ll be required to create three characters and it's recommended that you bring costuming for your second and third character to each event, since…. you never know what could happen. That said, costuming does not have to be terribly intricate, modern clothing is appropriate costuming most of the time. Silent Night will provide an intense player experience, most sleeping occurs “in game” and in the play area. Aside from a few hours Saturday night “Game on” is called late Friday night and runs till Sunday morning. The only food allowed is the food provided by the game. Firearms will cause grievous wounds and death. Infection will be a real threat when dealing with certain foes, [cough, Zombies]. If it sounds too extreme for you, but you like the concept of Silent Night, join the staff, NPCs will be well fed, can sleep when they want and come and go as their schedule requires. Rulebook Link:
