Wednesday was a whirlwind for sure. I was running late getting in, but I got to my seat just in time to win the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame “Best Recording Studio” award for 2025. This was unexpected! It feels great to be recognized, especially amongst such talented producers that were also nominated. I’m grateful to the CPMAs and all that put in a vote for me! Just after I sat back down, The Very Fine Gentlemen won the award for “Best Jazz Band” for 2025. Again... another unexpected award. Additionally, The Depth Beneath Us won “Best Instrumental Album” which was produced at MDW Productions. Then, The Jellybricks won “Best Album of the Year” for Dreaming in Stereo, also produced at MDW Productions. It was a night of great wins and fantastic nominations. Some of note: The Knight Shift with Steve Knight won for Best Podcast (on which I appeared twice this year), my good friend Dan Brenner won Educator of the Year (Dan has made several records at MDW Productions and regularly appears as a guest on records as well). The Jellybricks even won Best Alt Rock Band. Great night for the Bricks! A spot award for a show I performed in: Best Collaborative Music Event: Valencia Wonderland: A Holiday Music Experience (Go Katie!!!!) CPMA Nominations of note: The Jellybricks: Song of the Year “Dreaming in Stereo”, Quincy Rogers Best Blues Artist (made many records at MDW Productions), Surface Noise Best Rock Band (latest record produced at MDW Productions), Van Wirsing (in which I perform) and Solar Federation (friends and MDW Productions clients) Best tribute Act, Julie Schreiber-Wirsing Female Vocalist (of Solar Federation). Thank you again to all that voted in my favor. It was a great year!!!!
