This year's Toni Cade Bambara x Aretha Franklin Soul Salon will feature a special screening of the documentary TCB - The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing on Friday, March 27 at 7:30 pm at .

Soul Salon is a curated series that features two Black icons with the same birthday. Today, we pay tribute to the brilliance of Toni Cade Bambara and Aretha born on this day in 1939 and 1942, respectively.

Toni Cade Bambara: “Once you understand what your work is and you do not try to avert your eyes from it, but attempt to invest energy in getting the work done, the universe will send you what you need. You simply have to know how to be still and receive it.”
