And that's a wrap!

Final day at the first Roots and Wings Summer Camp! I cannot believe how blessed this summer was. The girls and their families were amazing! The partners that volunteered their time to make memories and develop their confidence with new opportunities, I cannot thank you enough for the difference you made! Oakcrest Furniture allowing us to use their space was a true Godsend.

Thank you to everyone that prayed, supported, came, and volunteered. This is something that has been a dream for me and it was a huge step toward the larger dream.

I also want to thank Esther Knotts, Michele Twilley , Brittany Wemhoener-Cuite, Cole Pavlik, and Jessica Mensack for all of their work and support from the beginning of this process until now! It would not have been possible.without your love and support!

I will be taking a few weeks to rest, reflect, and get my bearings. School trainings start for me next week, but I will be beginning planning and looking for support and volunteers for next week soon. I will also be sharing more shots of camp days that were not shared yet this summer.

Thank you!!

We had two great programs last week! We had a resin program with Stephanie and a self-defense program with Integrity Martial Arts. It was great seeing the girls growing in confidence in both these areas!

Had such a great program today Paint & Create with Heather! The girls got to create their own nature designs. Seeing them become more confident in their art has been so exciting this summer!

We had such a fun and eventful week that I wasn't able to get on and share like normal. Check out the resin dishes that we created under the direction of Stephanie Austin. We also had a great program learning about how our Brain is Our Bestie with Andi Hope, helping us understand that we have a choice of what to let in our minds and how we can choose to control our overwhelming feelings. We also got to make some cards and paintings with Esther Knotts and even got to have some water time! We had some weather this week so we got in a movie and some ice cream from The Frozen Farmer.
