BREAKING NEWS FROM HUMMINGBIRD LANE

There has been a revolt.

I went looking for the HBL Wrecking Crew because there is vintage treasure to hunt, furniture to rescue, projects to finish, and an alarming amount of junk around here that is NOT going to save itself.

Gone.

Every last one of them. 😑

After a brief investigation, my missing employees were located sunning themselves on a pontoon boat on the Tennessee River.

Apparently, Queen Axel decided working conditions were unacceptable and authorized an immediate company-wide vacation. 👑🐾

Burt fully supported the motion because he believes his job description is mostly being handsome in interesting locations. 😎

And Chaos the Creative? 🦝

Chaos apparently heard the words “pontoon boat” and abandoned his post before the meeting was even over. I have reason to believe snacks were involved.

So while I’m back at Hummingbird Lane trying to run a respectable vintage-rescue operation, the Wrecking Crew is floating down the Tennessee River like a bunch of retired millionaires.

No picking.
No painting.
No rescuing vintage treasures from the landfill.

Just sunshine, river breezes, snacks, and absolutely ZERO remorse. ☀️🛥️

Management will be addressing this blatant insubordination as soon as they return.

Unless they bring me snacks.

Then all charges will be dropped. 😂💜
