Exactly two years ago today, I flew into Oklahoma, caught an Uber, and rolled into a little town called Harrah for the very first time.

Two years ago today, I saw what I now call home for the very first time.

I took a chance. I rolled the dice. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I sure am glad I did.

What started as a leap of faith turned into Okie State Room, an incredible community, lifelong friendships, and a place that truly feels like home.

Tonight feels like the perfect way to celebrate. We’ve got two incredible bands taking the stage: local favorite Deja Blues Oklahoma and the best Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band you’ll ever see. Texas Flood The first time I saw these guys was with my dad in Dallas about six years ago. I was still drinking back then, and here I am now almost five years sober. Funny how some memories stick with you.

This afternoon I’m picking my dad up from the airport, and I can’t think of a better Father’s Day weekend than spending it together at Okie State Room, surrounded by friends, family, great music, and all of you.

What a journey these last two years have been.

Another shout out to the staff. The roots, the rocks, and the people behind everything we do. They’re the face of Okie State Room. They’re the ones greeting you at the door with a smile, making sure you feel right at home, and helping create the atmosphere that makes this place special.

Last night, a whole group of girls called ahead to make sure they were welcome to come take over the dance floor. The answer was absolutely yes! We welcomed them with open arms, and it turned into one heck of a fun night.

Tonight we’ve got a FREE Rock ‘n’ Roll concert, and everyone is invited! Gallivant

Don’t forget to grab your tickets for Saturday’s Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band Texas Flood - SRV Tribute w/ Deja Blues before they’re gone. Seats are getting close to selling out, and I’m extra excited because I get to pick my dad up from the airport Saturday morning. It’s going to be a special weekend.

And for everyone who’s been praying for my cat, thank you. Please keep those prayers coming.

Life can get tough. Sometimes we don’t always feel safe, and sometimes things weigh heavy on us. But having good people by your side makes all the difference. That’s exactly how I want everyone to feel when they walk through the doors of Okie State Room, welcome, supported, and surrounded by people who have your back.
