Tomorrow and Saturday, June 12th and 13th is our annual AMA Vintage National Weekend! Here are some notes we need to pass along:
*All continuous updates and changes (if needed) throughout the weekend will be posted here on our page.
*It will be warm and muggy tomorrow! Make sure to stay hydrated all weekend and we have plenty of shaded areas you can go in, like our clubhouse and pavilion. Our awesome Coventry EMS crew will be there for you, if needed! If we get any thunderstorms, make sure to weight down your canopies so they don't go for a ride.
**Both Friday and Saturday are two seperate race nights. Both nights are AMA Vintage Classes only! There will be no quads or modern bike classes (except Mad Dog Minor and Adult Air Cooled). No pro card holders will be allowed to race. For both days, gates will open at 11am, Sign up from 1-3pm, Riders Meeting 3:15pm, Practice at 3:30pm and Heats will start at 5pm with Main events immediately following the heat races. The Larry Weiss Memorial Race will be the Hot Rod Singles class on Saturday night. Below are the pre-entry links for both days. If you pre-enter, you still must come into the clubhouse during sign up hours, 1-3pm, to pay and sign the rider release on both days! Race fees are $40 per class. AMA membership is required to race. **Gate admission per day is $10/person, Kids 12-under are Free and $5 if you ride in on your Street Bike. We will have a weekend pass available.
*There will not be on track podiums tomorrow night (Friday). We will have trophy presentations after the races under the pavilion. This gives us more time to get the track prepared afterwards for Saturdays racing. There will be on track podiums with interviews on Saturday night!
**There is free camping starting Thursday evening after 5pm. We will come around Friday morning with the clipboard to sign the release, pay and give you a wristband if you come in before 9am Friday. If you are racing, you can camp where you are pitted for the weekend. If you are spectating, we will have a designated camping area to the left in the spectator parking area as you pull into the main entrance. Signs will be posted. We have showers downstairs in our clubhouse and bathrooms as well.
**We will have food concessions available all weekend. The Smoke Out Family BBQ will have their delicious menu available Friday, Saturday morning and Saturday night! They will be located in the tan building to the right side of the main grand stands.
**We will have Vintage National shirts available as well as other SDR apparel available in the SDR Shirt Shack, located next to the concession stand. We will announce when the shirt shack is open.
**Please help us keep our grounds clean throughout the weekend. Please use the trash cans and there are two dumpsters between the tower and the clubhouse. Thank you in advance!

***Here is a post we just put up a couple days ago regarding possible thunderstorms tomorrow. We have full intention on racing tomorrow. Our track can take water. Please be aware of all announcements we make at the track and here on Facebook. This is just a backup plan, if needed:
ATTENTION: Vintage National Weekend Update! We are aware of thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday afternoon and evening. At this time, we fully intend on racing Friday night as these thunderstorms will pop up and the timing of them is unclear at this time. Just so everyone knows, we do have a plan in place to run two separate race programs on Saturday if we are unable to race Friday night. You are still able to come and camp Thursday night through the weekend for free. IF we have to run both programs on Saturday, we will start early Saturday morning with sign up, run one race program and then run Saturday nights race program as scheduled. Again, as of now, we are fully intending on racing Friday night at this time. Please keep an eye out here on our page for all immediate updates from now through the weekend. Our goal is to provide a fun weekend for everyone, no matter what Mother Nature decides to throw our way! We will get through it and have a great time! 👍 Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
