In case you missed it, you can now watch the World Premiere of "Apocalyptic Maiden", composed by Randall DEBRUYN, conducted by Jonathan DEBRUYN with the Salem Philharmonia Orchestra, and sung by Saori DEBRUYN. I am so proud of this performance and so proud of my husband, and my father in-law. He wrote such a beautiful piece that fit my voice perfectly. This family is awesome. 😎

One more chance to hear the world premiere of this gorgeous piece! Tomorrow, Sunday at 2pm at the East Salem Community Center, hear the Salem Philharmonia Orchestra perform "Apocalyptic Maiden", written by my father in-law, Randall DeBruyn. They will also perform Tchaikovsky's Pathetique Symphony.

Having a composer write for your voice is a unique and special experience. Luckily for me, I have a Father In-Law that writes spectacular music! 💖✨

The piece is written for orchestra and soprano, set to text from The Visitation (when Elizabeth visits Mary when they are both pregnant) and the Magnificat. It is a deeply spiritual work and I'm honored to sing it and share it with you all. ❤️

Jonathan & I just did Mahler no. 4 with the and it was a glorious way to end the season. Proud of all the hardwork the orchestra has put into this season and I hope they all have a wonderful summer break. See you in the fall!

Jonathan & I are performing together this weekend on Sunday May 3rd @ 4:00pm with the and we are doing Mahler no. 4. It has been a dream of mine to sing this adorable song when Jonathan first showed it to me several years ago. This is the first time I've ever performed this piece and I get to do it with my husband-o!

Finally got around to posting this video!
I performed this aria with the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra back in the fall of 2023. This is a very special performance because:
1) Je dis is literally the song that made me fall in love with opera! I borrowed a CD of Barbara Hendricks singing it in high school and I was OBSESSED.
2) This was Jonathan & I's first time performing as conductor and soprano!

I'll be singing the soprano solo in Mahler 4 with the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, May 3rd at 4pm. Then, on May 30 & 31, I'll be premiering a new work called "Apocalyptic Maiden", written by my father in-law, with the Philharmonia Orchestra. May is going to be a busy month! I'm super excited to sing and share these remarkable pieces with you all!
