Centuries of Asian art. Five regions. One exhibition. 👀

Big news from the Hood Museum! "Asian Art at Dartmouth: Highlights from the Hood Museum of Art" opens on January 8, 2027, with a free evening reception (🗓️ save the date!).

Curated by Haely Chang, Jane and Raphael Bernstein Associate Curator of East Asian Art, the exhibition is drawn entirely from the 's collection and traces centuries of artistic tradition and contemporary creativity across Japan, Korea, China, the Tibetan and Himalayan Plateau, as well as South and Southeast Asia. The exhibition features ceramics, sculpture, paintings, prints, screens, and more, from ancient traditions to contemporary voices.

More to come (like an incredible 280+ page catalogue that includes new research on some mysterious Hood Museum objects). 🧐📖🧜‍♀️
