Bel Canto Chamber Singers

We are a 40 voice auditioned choral group that performs performances in the Spring and Holiday seasons at the First Congregational Church in Lebanon, NH.

We hope you attend our upcoming concert! Bel Canto is one of the Upper Valley’s oldest performing organizations. Founded in 1977, the chorus is dedicated to providing audiences with a broad spectrum of repertoire, from medieval and Renaissance works, to baroque cantatas, music of the classical era, and contemporary works by local composers.

Singers hail from towns around the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont, and the group is led by Music Director Jane Woods. Pianist Pierre Fournier provides accompaniment. Bel Canto is multigenerational, and welcomes singers of all singing backgrounds to audition. Bel Canto is dedicated to providing a musically challenging experience for its members, with the goal of bringing interesting and beautiful music to audiences throughout the Upper Valley and beyond.

The wait is over! Remember to set reminders to attend one or both of our Winter Concerts this weekend!

The concert features Vivaldi's Magnificat with a string quartet, English, German, Spanish, and Nigerian carol arrangements, contemporary works by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo and American Eric Whitacre, and several spirituals. At the First Congregational Church of Lebanon, Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday at 4 pm. By donation at the door.
