If you told me a few years ago that this little festival would grow into what it has become today, I probably wouldn't have believed you.
Saturday was the 5th year of Rock On The Hill, and seeing the Pennsylvania music community come together the way it did was absolutely incredible. Year after year this event keeps growing, and that's because of all of you.
Even after we got hit with what felt like a tsunami of a storm, so many of you came back, stayed the night, and continued supporting the bands. Watching everyone stick it out for acts like 12 Stones and Wind Walkers reminded me exactly why I do this.
The love, dedication, and passion for live music that was shown on Saturday is what this festival is all about.
I'm still recovering from the weekend, and I'm definitely feeling the effects of tearing everything down and cleaning up yesterday—not to mention getting a little burnt in the process. But honestly, that's part of the reward. Seeing the smiles, hearing the music, and watching this community come together makes every bit of hard work worth it.
While it's only a small team behind the scenes—myself and the Hanover Area Jaycees—that helps make this event happen each year, the real heroes are the volunteers. Thank you to everyone who helped with parking, cleanup, security, stage operations, and everything in between. We couldn't do this without you.
And a special shoutout to the best stagehand and rigger around, Justin Cjaza. Thank you for always going above and beyond. 🙏🏻
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every band, vendor, volunteer, sponsor, and every single person who bought a ticket and supported Rock On The Hill this year.
We'll see you next year. ❤️🤘
