Now on view at Finlandia Art Gallery in Hancock, Michigan through June 10: Liminal Sanctuaries by Bonnie Loukus.

This contemplative exhibition of oil paintings explores solitude, symbolism, animals, and the quiet ecosystems of the forest floor—transporting viewers into spaces that feel both deeply natural and slightly beyond reality.

Loukus, a Keweenaw-based multidisciplinary artist, invites us to reflect on belonging, connection, and the experience of existing between worlds.
