The UPstarts! had their first concert tonight at the Ontonagon Theater for the Performing Arts. What a spectacular group we have this year! You really don’t want to miss it! Iron Mountain tomorrow night (June 25)!

One of the best parts of the UPstarts! program is the opportunity for our young musicians to be coached by seasoned professionals and master teachers.

Ross Harbaugh and Scott Flavin of the Bergonzi Trio coached our instrumentalists yesterday. Christine Seitz, former PMMF opera director, coached soprano Jessica Schrader this afternoon. All of them came away with valuable feedback that will help them in their performance and future playing. Thank you coaches!!

The Bergonzi Trio played for an audience of 100 in Marquette last night at Messiah Lutheran. The concert repertoire is exciting and you don’t want to miss it! Yesterday, Lindsay, Ross, and Scott of the Bergonzi Trio, worked with some Marquette area music students. The masterclass was sponsored by the Pine Mountain Music Festival and was a great opportunity for three very talented young musicians to work with the world-class performers. We hope to see them on our UPstarts! stages one day! The trio will perform tonight at Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette @ 7:30 pm. See you there!
