This fun encaustic piece is filled with layers of wax, texture, movement, and unexpected details that invite you to look a little closer.

And the bright yellow frame? It was meant to make a statement. 💛

There’s something about the beginning of a new month that feels like a fresh page.

Not a need to start over or have everything figured out. Just another opportunity to keep moving forward, notice the good around you, and make a little more room for the things that bring you joy.

As summer slowly gives way to fall, I hope September brings you unexpected moments of happiness, new possibilities, and plenty of reasons to smile.

And, of course, a little more color. 💜🎨

Color Speaks has arrived at the The North Hampton Public Library, 💜🎨 and I’m so excited to share it with you.

Color Speaks: The Language of Art & Poetry will be on display throughout the month of September.

A heartfelt thank you to the North Hampton Public Library for welcoming me and giving my artwork and poetry a beautiful space to be shared with the community. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity. 💜

This exhibit is an invitation to slow down, look a little closer, read the words, experience the colors, and notice what speaks to you.

This might be my favorite part of the entire exhibit. 💜

I left a little box at the Durham Public Library inviting visitors to leave me a note, and I waited until Color Speaks came down to read them.

Today, I finally opened them.

I wanted to share this moment because these words are part of the exhibit too.

Thank you to everyone who left a little note.

Knowing my art and poetry made you feel something means more to me than you know.

From empty walls to COLOR! 💜🎨

I’ve arrived at the North Hampton Public Library with a whole lot of artwork, and now it’s time to start transforming this beautiful space!

After taking down my exhibit in Durham this morning, we packed everything up and headed straight here to begin installing a selection of my encaustic artwork and poetry for the month of September.

Seeing all of the empty walls and imagining where each piece will go is one of my favorite parts of putting together an exhibit. Piece by piece, the room begins to change.

Today I took down my Color Speaks exhibit at the Durham Public Library. 💜

For the past month, these walls held 36 pieces of my original encaustic artwork and poetry. Seeing everything come down today was definitely bittersweet.

Thank you to everyone who visited, came to the reception, shared kind words, and took the time to experience my work. It meant more to me than you know.

Thank you, Durham Public Library, for giving my work a place to be seen, felt, and experienced.

But this isn’t quite the end of Color Speaks…

Today, the artwork is coming down in Durham and heading to the North Hampton Public Library, where a selection of my work will be on display throughout September! 🎨

One exhibit comes down, another goes up.

I’m incredibly grateful to keep sharing my artwork with new communities and giving people the opportunity to experience encaustic art in person.

Because sometimes color speaks when words can’t. 💜

A new week doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out.

It’s simply another opportunity to begin where you are, take one step forward, and make a little room for something good to find you.

You don’t need to accomplish everything today. Choose what matters, give it your energy, and let that be enough.
