The 1% have utterly botched the job of creating civilization.

AI is going to make our current epistemological crisis DEADLY as we really won't agree on HOW to know what is true as a significant percentage of our culture falls into a zillion custom crafted disinformation siloes.

Education helps individuals interpret different forms of information and utilize a range of information channels, and involvement in institutions of higher learning also provides a community that supports sharing of information and knowledge. Those in despair and isolation—who often do not have post-high school education—have fewer tools with which to combat misinformation and are much more susceptible to radicalisation."

The U.S. is experiencing a nationwide crisis of despair. Despair is not only linked with premature mortality, but with the vulnerability to misinformation that is plaguing our society, our health systems, and our democracy.

RELEASE THE HACKERS! Time to OPEN SOURCE THE FITBIT!

Hmmm... and what if I want and NEED my own little mountainside creek of data to manage my OWN health better?

Owning a Fitbit is proving to me to:
1) AVOID products that require an internet connection to access your own fraggkn' data!

2) now that we see that GOOGLE IS STRANDING THE FITBIT it's time to make the many millions of Fitbit receptors an OPEN SOURCE data collection device for our private bodies so that we can CALL IN THE HACKERS to make local apps on our laptops as well as cell phones to collect and analyze that data LOCALLY and create comma or other delimited spreadsheets of the data to share with our doctors or support groups!

It's a shame soooo many of us have coughed up hundred$ of dollars for a perfectly good data collection device ti become worthless additions to the electronics landfill!

Especially now that long covid is hobbling so many of us, WE NEED GOOD DATA!

Release the Hackers!

Time to build an open source edition of "connect" where we can get and share our data thru a local server like our smartphone or Bluetooth enabled PC ... what a shame and waste to have millions of these wrist mounted sensors we paid $300 each for suddenly become trash just bc the new owner wants the features for their new darling (that will no doubt get abandoned just like this one).

This is why CLOUD BASED SOLUTIONS BETTER BE AN ADDENDUM AND NOT THE PRIMARY WAY.

Such as - can you imagine if the cars engine is a subscription based operating system? In an emergency? And we are living the apocalypse, right now, it's just moving slow enough that many don't see it as an emergency.

I wish he was as inventive in canceling subsidies for oil companies!

"According to Ingoglia’s bill, the Division of Elections would decertify any political party that has “previously advocated for, or been in support of, slavery or involuntary servitude.”

Registered voters of that party would receive notices from the state that their party has been “canceled” and that they’re now no-party voters.

As for the canceled Democratic Party, members could re-register with the state so long as the name is “substantially different from the name of any other party previously registered.”

Florida Sen. Blaise Ingoglia is backing a new bill in Florida that he calls the “Ultimate Cancel Act,” aimed to ban any political party that once included slavery in their platforms from running in the state, including the Florida Democratic Party.

THIS is *also* why we should all he very careful with ANY VIDEO FORMAT (including Teal Swans videos).

Video is *the most expensive* medium to convey information and so requires to most mortgaging of integrity to fund its infrastructure. Then audio is the next most cost-effective and then print is the MOST cost-effective where ONE person really CAN write and self-publish and entire book.

Its exceedingly rare for a one person TV station to exist, on the other hand.

Now the advent of cell phone videos and "video on demand" (VOD) does decrease that cost somewhat, but watch out for slick videos full of animations and expensive effects! Deep Fakes exist!

And THAT is why ALL media you receive should be held to basic journalistic standards of the 5Ws and good bibliographic reference to sources! Also explicitly and obviously labeled as opinion (like this video) vs something that is presenting itself as "News" or a "Documentary" of "Truth".

Anytime somebody is pushing some conspiracy fantasy at me I demand that they bring tall proof to match the tall tale - sources that are legitimate in much in as much as they have basic journalistic standards such as the 5 W's and sufficient citing of sources that I can go cross correlate for both internal and external consistency.
