“ I’m holding a vigil for forgotten things.
Anonymous thoughts that creep over edges, ensnaring and tearing at the present.Moments of poignancy wrapped and burned in the name of preservation. Muted whispers, like grains of sand slipping through fingers.
Cobwebs haunting your darkest corners, sticking to the places that offend.
I’m lighting a candle for each not quite forgotten thing.
A warm light to enfold them.
A moment for me to acknowledge them.
Warm breath and smoke to carry them to sanctuary. “ -2024
