Long before anti-aging and wellness became a thing, I was already helping people get stronger to age well.

As a fitness trainer with 2 Master's degree, one in gerontology (the study of aging) and the other in exercise science and kinesiology, I know that everyone needs to train for life!!!

I don't care how old you are. Your life depends on exercise!

Exercise is the most under utilized prescription for wellness. We love in a society that wants to pop pills to feel better or look better.

Quick fixes don't work for the long run. Just look at all the people we see with Ozempic face and muscle loss. Regular exercise would have resolved that issue.

I have clients in their 60's, 70's and 80's that tell me they feel half their age since we started training together.

Stop complaining or joking that your joints make funny noises when you move. Stop making excuses. Start moving! That's how you never get old.

Aging is a privilege and becoming "old" is a life choice.

It's crazy! It takes about 3 days in zero gravity to begin to lose muscle strength and power.

On earth, without exercise, muscle strength and power loss begins after 3-7 days.

This is why I stress the importance of regular exercise and appropriate stimulus for your muscles and your body. We all need to exercise a minimum of 3 days per week!

You don't need to do anything crazy! The simplest workout programs are generally the best.

The complexity in exercise programming is creating the right prescription of reps, sets and weight to offer the best stimulus for each client. This prescription is based on a client's needs, injuries, goals, joint stability, flexibility and overall strength.

I also struggled with my weight until I learned that a healthy diet with portion control and exercise was the only way to solve my problem.

Here's the crazy part. I was 47 years old in the first picture and 23 years old in the second picture. Looking at the pictures, you would think it was the other way around.

After meeting my husband and having an awesome time traveling and EATING! I reached the heaviest I had ever been, 152 lbs! At that weight and being 5'1", I was obese for my height!

Changing my eating habits and exercising regularly was the game changer. I would love to eat chocolate and popcorn all day, but in the end I would have to deal with all the problems related to a poor diet like insulin resistance, heart disease and cancer.

I don't care whether you are considering the use of GLP-1's to lose weight or if you do it naturally! Just start the journey now. Your life really does depend on it.

I understand your struggles. And I also know that you are the narrator in your life's story. It's not how you start, it's about how you finish! Change the story and change your life!

Everyone's story and life experience is unique, but please don't tell me that I don't understand because I've never had a weight issue. Because of my own journey, I have been able to help countless people learn to love exercise and in turn foster empowerment to change their life story.

A friend came to me to help her 15 year old daughter who is a softball pitcher that is having chronic pain in the shoulder of her pitching arm.

I said it's probably due to shoulder instability issues along with issues in overall body strength because many youth athletes have the ability to produce great amounts of power without having a great amount of muscular strength.

After seeing an orthopedist who confirmed what I said, we started working on strength and conditioning. After only 3 sessions, her mom sent this text to me!

Was it magic? No!!! It's called teaching athletes how to use their entire body. That does not have to involve complicated exercises or movements. It also doesn't involve a crazy amount of weight.

This young lady told her mom that she pitched the hardest she ever pitched after 3 training sessions at MARVIL FIT! We didn't create muscle in 3 sessions, we created neuromuscular activation. That means her nervous system and muscular system are communicating more effectively! Because of the strength and conditioning protocols we implemented, her arm was only sore toward the end of pitching practice instead of the entire practice.

This is how we create superior athletes! Giving kids heavy weights, having coaches obnoxiously yelling at them to "do better", or making them do stupid exercise seen on social media by a "sports expert" or an uneducated "fitness expert" is not how we get these kids to become stronger and better athletes.

If you are trying to help your kids become excellent athletes and if you want to help them avoid developing life long injuries associated with youth sports, I suggest you do your homework to find trained individuals when you make the investment into your child's sports career.

As the Olympics come to a close, we must remember that these superhumans were not born masters of their sport.

They merely mastered their sport! Yes, all those athletes had talent, but as Tim Notke said, "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."

If you want to achieve your goals and greatest desires, then you need to get uncomfortable. It's the uncomfortable part that will give you the joy and the results you are looking for.

Quick fixes are just quick fixes that are unable to offer lasting euphoria. But when patience, hard work and perseverance give you the outcome you are looking for, you will find that joy and pride and it will encompass all aspects of your life.

Take that chance, invest in yourself and work to reach your goals because SUCCESS is a product of consistency that is fueled by a relentless desire to never give up.

After personally dealing with a few incidents fighting for the underdog in the last few weeks, I realized that my affinity for dogs may be deeper than I thought. You see, my fight for the underdog started before I can even remember. Having an empathetic heart may seem like a curse, but it has become my superpower.

MARVIL FIT was created to help people get stronger, healthier and happier! Little did I know that the majority of my clientele would be people that never liked exercise or had difficulty committing to healthier lifestyle choices. Maybe the commitment issue was a resulted of the mixed messaging and ambiguity created within the fitness industry that merely became overwhelming to the average person. Perhaps their "laziness" was more a fear that blunted their motivation. These fitness and wellness underdogs just needed a humanized exercise experience.

Since I opened my studio doors, people that seemed to dislike exercised started coming to the MARVIL FIT. Surprisingly, their disdain for exercise changed after they realized that you can have a good workout, and enjoy it too! I didn't get people to like exercise, I got them to love exercise! Then, they started reaching fitness and life goals they never thought possible.

Surpassing our 12th year in the Hamptons didn't happen because I offered the best fitness classes or because I was so cool that people had to take my classes. It happened because I built relationships with ALL my clients and then delivered the best fitness experience I could offer them!! Everyone is different and their circumstances, whatever they may be, are also different. The fitness experience I have always delivered to my clients was created with heart and fueled my constant desire for continuing education to give my clients the best personalized fitness programming.
