Meagan D'Stasio

Meagan D'Stasio OOAK handmade items, art and collaborations with other artisans. Here is the long of The Mean Princess. I started doing custom, mostly one of a kind items.

I started as Made by Meagan, just a blogger, mainly creating hair bows, some basic clothing or arts & crafts. I shared online so that my loved ones back home could see was I was up to. I started slowly getting request from friends, then friends of friends, so Made by Meagan became a business page. I was so bless and busy that I could barely keep up. In September of 2011 I felt like I needed to ste

p back, re-brand and decide what I really wanted my business to be. The short of that is The Mean Princess was born, named after my daughter. Shortly after starting as The Mean Princess, I still had a restlessness that I couldn't put my finger on. Well life stepped in and changed everything. I found out I had a rare cancer and had my 1st surgery........I was bed bound but I knew I had to do something, so I drew and drew, then drew some more and Taylor was born. Within in 3 short months I made a local magazine and it just grew from there. My true passion was there all along, drafting! Here is a little secret. I had only used one pattern in my life before I started making my own, it was a entire baby bedding set and to tell you the truth I had mama fog brain so I remember NOTHING about it but that comforter to this day is FAB! So that's my long story. I am so thankful to all my customers who have followed me on this long journey. I thank my great grandmother for sharing her passion with me and inspiring me daily even though she has left this earth. I thank my passionate, strong willed daughter for giving me the two best jobs ever, parenting and designing......lord knows she is the real boss! xoxoTMP

I’ve been busy in a different way leading up to the holiday season. I may not get as much listed and that’s ok because this guy isn’t homeless anymore. He gets regular meals, he gets potty breaks every two hrs. He gets to play with tug toys and flirt poles every day. He’s gonna make someone really happy. If you’re in the Philly area, put in a app to be his forever family at Philly Bully Team. Link in comments. Happy sweater weather 🥰

A little something to look forward to! I think I will just upload a few at a time rather than a large update to the shop. We have a medical foster dog who needs more than I expected which is slowing me down.

It’s been a while y’all! This year has flown by and I’ve not been the best at staying on top of my socials. I’ve been talking classes, sewing again and fostering pups. Here is a glimpse behind the SeAmS of a week in my life currently! Hoping to have a Christmas upload! Keep y’all posted! Have a great week!

Drafting patterns for this fall/winter upload. Thinking hair tool sizes for these padded bags. They stand on their own because they’re line with foam. These tiny ones are mine, made of scraps. I’m actually digging a scrappy interior for hiding stains. Maybe that will be a trademark of our bags this season! Happy fall (almost)!
