🎮 CONFESSIONS OF A VIDEO GAME DEALER
Episode 1: The Bottom of the Bag
There’s a phenomenon in this business I like to call the bottom of the bag.
It’s when somebody walks into my store carrying a grocery bag full of games they’ve apparently tried selling everywhere else.
The good stuff? Already sold.
The valuable games? They’re keeping those.
And what do I get?
Seven scratched Wii games, three copies of Madden, a tangled mess of cables, and something at the bottom of the bag that probably requires a hazmat suit.
Then comes the million-dollar question.
“So, how much can you give me for all this?”
Well, considering you’ve already removed everything worth money, I’m currently trying to determine whether the bag itself has any resale value.
😂 A little advice from your friendly neighborhood video game dealer:
Folks, if you want top dollar for your stuff, take a few minutes to clean it up!
I’m not expecting everything to look brand new, but if I need a tetanus shot just to evaluate your trade-in, we’re probably not off to a great start.
