LOCAL AUDITIONS FOR MISERY AT THE TOWLE THEATER

The Towle Theater is seeking actors for our upcoming production of Misery, directed by Jim LaPietra.

Based on Stephen King's chilling novel and adapted by William Goldman, Misery is a gripping psychological thriller that follows bestselling author Paul Sheldon as he finds himself captive in the home of his self-proclaimed "number one fan," Annie Wilkes.

Available Roles:
Annie Wilkes (30s–60s) – Former nurse and Paul's obsessed fan
Paul Sheldon (30s–60s) – Acclaimed romance novelist
Buster (30s–60s) – Local sheriff

Auditions will consist of readings from provided sides. Memorization is not required.

Unable to attend? Video submissions will be accepted through June 22. Please submit using the same requirements listed on our website.

Callbacks, if needed, will be held Wednesday, June 24.

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING SH-BOOM LIFE COULD BE A DREAM

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming production of Sh-Boom! Life Could Be a Dream.

As many of you know, we are currently navigating a leadership transition following the departure of our Artistic Director. While we looked at every option to move the production forward, the timing and resources required to mount the show at the level our audiences and artists deserve proved challenging during this transition. We ultimately determined that this was the best decision to ensure the continued success of our organization and upcoming programming.

Ticket holders may transfer their tickets to any remaining 2026 production, including Misery and our holiday production, or to the first production of our 2027 season. Additional information will be sent directly to ticket holders.

We are grateful for your understanding, your support, and your belief in the work we do here. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

There’s still time to join the cast of High School Musical JR.!

Our Summer Intensive kicks off next week, and we already have some amazing students ready to sing, dance, and perform. But there's still room for a few more Wildcats!

Over just two weeks, students ages 10–18 will work with theater professionals, build confidence, make new friends, and bring High School Musical JR. to life on stage.

Whether your child is a seasoned performer or stepping on stage for the very first time, this is their chance to discover the magic of live theater.

Towle Theater is excited to officially begin a new chapter as we move forward with a new creative team for Sh-Boom! and we would love to see both familiar and new faces auditioning with us! If you’ve ever considered auditioning at the Towle, now is a great time to jump in. We are committed to creating a positive, collaborative, and welcoming environment for performers both on and off stage.
