This Tuesday ends the HAST Fine Arts Season with a bang! The Spring Fine Arts Festival will feature the HAST Theatre Class’s one-act production of “12 Incompetent Men & Women” (a parody of “12 Angry Men”), performances by the HAST Ukulele Ensemble and Hammond Academy Chorus, and awards honoring the achievements of our Fine Arts students and seniors! Doors open at 5:30PM and performances start at 6:00PM! Tickets are $3!

The stage is set for HAST Theatre Class of 2026 Production! This one-act comedic parody of “12 Angry Men” will be performed as part of the Spring Fine Arts Festival on Tuesday, May 12 at 6PM in the HAST Gym! Other performances that evening will come from Hammond Academy Chorus and the Ukulele 2 Ensemble!

Hammond Academy Chorus Excels at State Solo & Ensemble!

On Saturday, members of the High School Hammond Academy Chorus traveled to Indianapolis for the State Solo & Ensemble Contest. All five soloists earned Gold, with Taylor Vander Wall earning Gold with Distinction and Xander Lopez earning a Perfect Score (a first in HAST history)! The Treble voices of Hammond Academy Chorus gave a lovely performance of “Ask Me No More” and earned a Silver.

A special thank you goes to Alumni & Assistant Conductor Gabriel Gonzalez, Mrs. Saavedra, and all parents and supporters who drove to Indy to be part of the day!

Our high school singers have worked exceptionally hard this year! Making it to state is an honor alone, but doing this well is truly an accomplishment! Their next performance will be at the ISSMA Organization Contest on Saturday, April 18! Congratulations, Hammond Academy Chorus!

Our most successful Solo & Ensemble outing and highest number of gold medals to date! Every performer did their absolute best and made HAST proud! Our music program only continues to grow larger and stronger year to year! Congratulations to all our singers, but especially to six acts who will be advancing onto the State Competition on Saturday, February 21 in Indianapolis!!!

A special thank you to Mrs. Lopez for driving the second van, Alumni Gabriel Gonzalez for his assistant director talents, and all the parents who supported their singers in person or by sending snacks, goodies, or kind words throughout the day! We truly could not do this without you!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for HAST Fine Arts’ Dinner Cabaret 33 Below! It was a fabulous night of celebration and joy! We raised over $2,000 for our fine arts program!
