IT’S A GO! 2021 JBAF OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED!

The Northwest Alabama Art Council proudly confirms that the 19th Annual Jerry Brown Arts Festival (JBAF) has been “green-lighted” for the first weekend in March!

Once again, the Tombigbee Electric Cooperative in Hamilton will serve as the host location. Arts council president Belinda McRae was elated at the news that General Manager Steve Foshee and the team at Tombigbee were continuing to be so gracious in sharing their amazing facility.

Or course, safety will be the arts council’s number one priority as the event moves forward, with all precautions taken and all virus-related safety regulations strictly followed. “The safety of our artists, our attendees and our volunteers is our greatest concern,” Belinda noted.

She said she’s also expecting a huge number of artist applications, as the JBAF was the first—and for many the last—show in 2020.
“We’re so grateful we were able to have the 2020 JBAF, but we barely got it in before COVID-19 restrictions were put into place and festivals were closed down,” she said.

“We’re all just so excited that we’re going to be able to continue this important tradition. The JBAF is a great event. It’s also a fun event and beneficial to our community for tourism monies, tax dollars and local revenue.”

Applications for artists for the 2021 JBAF will be available online on Sunday, Nov. 1, at JBAF.org and must be returned no later than Saturday, Jan. 2.

Food vendor applications will be made available after the first of the year.

More information will be posted here as planning proceeds for the award-winning, juried arts festival.
