The Roxy will have first and second run movies, live events, axe throwing and be available for private rentals. The Roxy is a non profit organization and our goal is to bring our community together through affordable and fun entertainment!
Construction on the ROXY Theater has begun! It will be completed in three phases. Beck Builders Inc. has been hired to complete this exciting project and so far they have done an absolutely incredible job. So much work, time and planning has already taken place to get to this point!
Phase One: We have raised almost enough money to complete phase one. In this phase we are remodeling the front entrance, concessions area and bathrooms. We will be serving popcorn, candy, soda, soft serve ice cream, hot dogs and nachos. We are required to have a functioning kitchen, 3 bay sink for dishes and a hand wash sink. We have to flatten the floor in this area, add a wall, electrical, plumbing, doors new cabinets, refrigerator, dish washer, shelving and more. During this stage, the bathrooms are also being remodeled. Insulation will be placed in the exterior walls (there is a severe lack of insulation throughout the entire building). The bathrooms will get new walls, flooring, sinks, counter-tops and lighting. The main water shut off for the building will also be moved to be more accessible as it is currently located in the crawl space. We estimate phase 1 of the project will cost around $100,000 and about 70% of that has been raised. Make a donation today to bring movies back to the Bitterroot!!
