Still trying to find the words to describe what this weekend meant to us. 🇨🇦✨

As the owner and director of C.R. & Co Dance, my heart is overflowing with gratitude and pride after an unforgettable weekend at StarPower International Talent Competition. Our dancers trained tirelessly, traveled far from home, and stepped onto that stage with passion, determination, and heart — and the results reflected every ounce of their hard work.

Every single routine placed in the overall awards, and we were honored to receive specialty team awards for Excellence in Entertainment for “Breezy Bowl” and Excellence in Choreography for “Welcome To ATL.” 🏆

“Hate On Us,” “Go Best Friend,” “Haunted,” “Destiny’s Fulfilled,” “Breezy Bowl,” and “Welcome To ATL” all earned 1st Place Overall titles, making our dancers INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS! 🌎❤️

But beyond the trophies and titles, this weekend was about so much more than competition. It was about memories that will last a lifetime — traveling out of the country together, experiencing a new culture, building deeper bonds as a team, and watching these kids realize just how far their talent can take them.

To our dancers, families, staff, and supporters: thank you for believing in this vision and pouring so much love into this journey. C.R. & Co showed Toronto exactly who we are, and I could not be more proud. 🖤✨

C.R. & Co Dance is making history in ONE WEEK as we travel to Toronto, Canada May 22nd–24th to compete in our very first international competition at StarPower International! We’re taking 50 talented Black and Brown dancers from New Haven County, Connecticut to represent our community on an international stage with passion, discipline, and excellence. Our final staff spotlight goes to the one and only, Ms. Teresa Flowers 💐

Ms. Teresa has been a supporter of C.R. & Co since its conception. She joined the staff team in year 3 as an administrative assistant, transitioned to an office manager, and then transitioned to teaching Tap. Ms. Teresa is a stickler for technique but her patience and commitment to each and every one of her students make her an exemplary colleague and we are so lucky and grateful to have her a part of our team.
