We have the schools. We have the students. We have the vision. Now we need the funding.

Arts 4 Schools is raising support for our 10K Impact Literacy Through the Arts Project — helping bring arts-integrated literacy programs, performances, enrichment, and educational opportunities directly into schools and communities.

What many people do not see are the behind-the-scenes costs it takes to continue this work safely and effectively. Our organization carries over $5,000 in required insurance to operate in school systems, and we are also working to secure support for development and grant-writing assistance so we can continue growing and serving more students.

This mission cannot survive on passion alone.
It takes community support.

Every donation helps us continue providing opportunities for children through the arts, literacy, culture, creativity, and education.

Please donate, share this reel, and help us continue making an impact in the lives of students. Givebutter.org/10kimpact

Arts 4 Schools is asking for your support.

Through our 10K Impact Literacy Through the Arts Project, we are working to bring arts-integrated literacy programs directly into schools and communities to help students learn, grow, and thrive creatively and academically.

Many people see the performances, workshops, and partnerships — but what many do not see are the behind-the-scenes costs required to keep these programs operating safely and effectively.

Our organization currently carries multiple forms of insurance required to work within school systems and community programs, totaling over $5,000. These protections are necessary for us to continue serving students, schools, artists, and families responsibly.

In addition, we are seeking support to help bring on a Development Director who can help us secure grants, maintain funding streams, build partnerships, and strengthen fundraising efforts so this mission can continue to grow sustainably.

The reality is simple:
We cannot continue this work without financial support.

We have the schools.
We have the programs.
We have the vision.
But we need the funding to continue making an impact.

This is not a one-person mission. It takes a community to sustain community work.

Every donation — large or small — helps us continue serving students through literacy, arts integration, cultural programming, enrichment opportunities, and educational experiences that change lives.

If you believe in the power of education, creativity, and opportunity for children, we ask that you stand with us today.

Donate. Share. Support the mission.

Together, we can continue making an impact through the arts. Givebutter.org/10kimpact

Shreya,

Let’s meet Shreya.

Shreya came to Arts in CT:Arts4Schools when she was just 8 years old, beginning with voice lessons before slowly finding her love for acting and musical theater. She went on to perform in one of our very first productions of Beauty and the Beast, where she played Princess Jasmine , a role that created unforgettable memories for all of us.

Shreya shared that the arts have had a major impact on her life, helping shape her confidence, creativity, and growth throughout the years. Today, she is 19 years old, has graduated, and is now attending college as a freshman at University of Connecticut.

Her father recently shared these beautiful words with us:

“Good morning Ms. B. So nice to hear from you. We hope you are doing well. Yes, Shreya is now 19 and a freshman at UConn Storrs campus. Congrats on the 10-year anniversary, our show certainly created long lasting memories for all of us. Unforgettable.“

These are the stories that remind us why the arts matter so much. The arts help children discover who they are. They create confidence, connection, expression, and memories that last a lifetime. Even years later, the impact continues.

As we celebrate 10 years of Arts4Schools, we are proud to see so many of our students continuing to grow, thrive, and carry the arts with them into adulthood.

Thank you for believing in the power of the arts and for investing in our children’s futures.

We have been working on trying to create a simplified, but kid friendly logo that would be able to depict the organization and you cannot identify who we are and what we do by the symbol. We would love your feedback.

Ten years ago, a young 9-year-old girl named Makeda stepped into one of our very first productions of Beauty and the Beast with Arts4Schools. Like many children, she came to us looking for a place to belong, to grow, and to discover her voice.

Today, Makeda is 19 years old and currently attending college majoring in music. She continued with the arts, and the arts continued with her. Watching her journey unfold has been one of the greatest honors and reminders of why this work matters so deeply.

We are humbled and proud to have been a part of her growth and the incredible accomplishments she has made along the way. We wish her nothing but continued success as she pursues her dreams and inspires others through her gifts and talents.

Stories like Makeda’s are exactly why the arts are so important. The arts give children opportunity. The arts give children light. The arts give children a safe place to express themselves, build confidence, discover purpose, and overcome challenges they may face in life. Sometimes you never know what lesson, what stage performance, what song, or what moment will truly stick with a child, but when it does, it can change the entire direction of their future.

Today is Day 2 of The Great Give, and we only have until 8 PM tonight to make an impact. Every donation made today can help double the impact of our work thanks to matching support through the Future’s Fund and Bank of America.

As Arts4Schools celebrates 10 years of service, we are asking you to please consider making a donation today and investing in the lives of our children. Your support helps us continue creating opportunities for students to dream bigger, grow stronger, and find their voice through the arts.

Thank you for believing in our mission. Thank you for helping us continue to serve and uplift young people through the power of the arts.
