The basic purpose of the Erie County Agricultural Society, sponsor of the Erie County Fair, is to preserve and enhance, by educational endeavors, the agricultural and historical legacy of New York State. The Society sponsors the Erie County Fair, which is held annually and intended to promote and showcase our community's agricultural traditions, talents, diversity and heritage. The Erie County Fai

Did we mention contestants have a shot at a share of $3,500 in prize money to help fund your idea? 👀

The Kids Cultivate Agriculture Pitch Contest gives young people ages 5–21 the chance to share an idea connected to agriculture, whether it’s inspired by food, farming, animals, sustainability, technology, education, ag products, or the communities agriculture supports.

Your idea does not have to be polished. Your pitch does not have to be perfect. If selected as a finalist, you’ll have the summer to work with a mentor and bring your idea to the stage. 🎤

🏆 1st Place in each division: $1,000
🥈 2nd Place in each division: $750
👏 People’s Choice Award: $250

We are proud to continue the recognition of local veterans, and active military personnel during our Flag Retreat Ceremony held everyday of the Fair in Slade Park, presented this year by Yuengling Beer and Ace Flag & Gift Shop with support from the U.S. Army.

This tradition is something we look forward to every year, and we want YOU to help us recognize a veteran or active military member who has served their community and country with dedication, courage, and leadership.
