- A Message to Our Central Maine Idol Community -

Central Maine Idol has always been about more than a competition. It’s about community, music, encouragement, and giving local performers a place to shine.

After thoughtful discussion and planning, the Central Maine Idol Team has made the decision to postpone Season Six until Summer 2027.

While we know many people look forward to Idol each year, we believe taking this extra time will allow us to return with the strongest season possible, creating an even better experience for our contestants, audiences and sponsors who make this event so special.

One thing that won’t change is our commitment to keeping our music community active and connected.

If you’re thinking about auditioning next year, or if you just love to sing, we invite you to join us at Quarryoke!

It’s a fun, supportive place to practice, meet other singers, and start warming up for Central Maine Idol auditions next year. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just getting comfortable on the mic, everyone is welcome.

**AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT**

The auditions for our inaugural Maine Teen Idol competition will be Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th from 10 AM - 4 PM at The Quarry Tap Room.

This event is open to all Maine singers, aged 13-17. Participants must have parent/guardian permission, and selected singers would need to be available for Sunday performance dates in September (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Sept 7, 14, 21, and 28; finale date TBD) at the Quarry Tap Room in Hallowell.

We know that so many of you have asked if we can open up our CMI stage for your kids to perform, and we are so excited to hear all the incredible teenage singers from across the state! 🤩
