Our goal is to provide assistance for entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals who are experiencing financial difficulty due to unforeseen circumstances such as our present economic situation. Our beneficiaries are aspiring entrepreneurs and can be of any age, gender, or ethnicity. We mainly serve the Northeast part of Michigan. Most of our beneficiaries are social or economically disadvantaged
or may be lacking the skills necessary to become a success entrepreneur without assistance from organizations like ours. HERO develops fund raising activities that involve the community for the benefit of the whole community. This year’s project is improving our RC race car track that will bring visitors of all ages to our community. A place to enjoy themselves and brings them into our town which will help the local entrepreneurs. This also provides a direct job/business for a local individual to run our small RC supply store, HERO’s Hobbies, which is located in the HERO building, ¼ mile north of the stop light in Hale, Mi. Part of the profits being donated to HERO will be used to continue our goal to improve the financial and wellbeing of the entire community. Mission Statement
It is the vision of HERO to provide assistance for entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals who are experiencing financial difficulty. Realizing that unpredictable circumstances can quickly put a small business in jeopardy and that financing is not readily available. It is our mission to be there when others are not. To accomplish our mission, we will analyze each applicant's present circumstance, evaluate current and future needs, and provide training in areas of need. The specific means for achieving our mission will be through donations, grants, conducting professional seminars, and fund-raising. In order to preserve the small business heritage of the United States of America, it is our secondary mission to encourage those we help (once financially secure and sound in business practices) to pass on their success to others in need. Employment is a basic human right often denied the poor, disabled, and minorities. Hero aims to alter this unjust practice, by helping small businesses through an internship relationship during the setup of their business.
