🏞️ Capturing the beauty of Alaska wil For as long as I can remember I have been drawn to nature and wildlife.

Growing up in Minnesota I went to the woods to experience wildlife and to learn and explore. That was the beginning of my journey to understand and experience nature. About 30 years ago I discovered photography and over time realized through photography I could share my love of wildlife and the natural world with others. Today over nearly half a century later, with half my life lived in Alaska, I am still on that mission quest. As a photographer in Haines, in South East Alaska, my goal is to visually capture the spirit of an animal, bird or the natural scene and communicate my vision providing images that create a sense of wonder, awe and understanding, and sometimes the comedy of the natural world. I try to place the viewer in the environment or the moment. I am truly passionate about communicating the beauty of wildlife in its native environment. Too often many people only have visions of animals in zoos. My hope is that people will come to appreciate the wonderful beauty and complexities of nature and help preserve it.

Mass-produced decor fills a blank wall space, but artwork by an artist changes how a room feels to live in. As we enter cozy season, that vibrancy is important.

"Winter Eagle Reflection" comes from one working artist, not a warehouse. Have a closer look.

How is the art in your home making you feel? Could "Foxy Baby at the Den" earn a place in your favorite place this season?

How about a work like "Sunrise on the Chilkat River"? Could it add something to your space for the exact reason that it doesn't blend in perfectly?
