Awesome harvest today God is GOOD! 🙏 Check out this wild frame of honey with two very distinct varieties of honey in it. 😱 One dark one light. Reminds me of a confluence where 2 rivers meet.
Then went beach later and found a rock with the same vibe. Yin and yang? ☯️ Good and Evil? 😇 😈 Who knows, but I do know there are no coincidences in this world… God works in mysterious ways. Will be boxing up the honeycomb and selling it at the farmers market. ✨🤙🏽😘

This year’s was extra special in the most synchronistic ways. I dedicated this booth — and the “Best in Show” 🥇 award — to my dad, who ascended to heaven just a couple days after I set it up. ✝️The connection between this booth and my relationship with him runs deep, and I’ll share more below.

I had envisioned a “Honey Ofrenda”–style booth for months… probably years. 🤣 Life kept life-ing, and I wasn’t able to grow marigolds for this year’s display. I’ve always been inspired by the beautiful ofrendas in Oaxaca, México during Día de los Mu***os. In recent years, my father and I created ofrendas filled with marigolds and flowers — memories I’ll cherish forever!

Last minute, I made a post asking if anyone had marigolds…and thankfully came through with the most beautifully grown cempasúchil (marigolds) the night before the festival. A true Godsend🙏 I could feel my dad with me the whole time I was decorating with my bestie — it was beautiful, emotional, and fun all at once.

Right after setup, I was awarded “Best in Show”… and the award just so happened to be orange, perfectly matching my booth. A moment I’ll treasure forever.

Days later, I said my earthly goodbyes to my father, who bravely battled stage 4 cancer for seven years. This one is for him. 🧡 Though he’s no longer here in physical form, I know his spirit will continue to guide my creativity and my business ventures for the rest of my days.
