Today was an incredible day as we celebrated the very first graduating class from our Heavy Metal Playground program at Blue Ridge Community College!
Before certifications were presented, the students got the chance to show their families and friends just how much they’ve learned over the past 8 weeks.
They put their skills to the test completing a variety of tasks, battled it out in a tire stacking competition and went head-to-head in a skid steer race driving both forward AND backward through an obstacle course.
And because no Heavy Metal Playground graduation would be complete without a little pressure…they all took on the ultimate challenge: attempting to pick up a raw egg with an excavator without breaking it!
Congratulations to our first Blue Ridge Community College class! You’ve officially earned it!
