Lily Meka is a multi-talented singer, songwriter ,book writer and model from Cameroon currently residing in the United States. Lily’s interest in music began during her childhood years in the north west region of precisely called Nso Cameroon when she entertained family and friends with cover songs of popular female artists. Today, Lily has come of age, writing her own songs and composing her own

music, and using music to promote her cultural heritage and champion social causes. Even though she is multilingual, Lily sings primarily in Lamso, her native language. As she said in a recent interview. “I’m proud of my culture and I think it is my responsibility to promote it via the art I know best. That’s why I sing in lamso.”


Since her arrival in the United States, Lily has released her debut album, a six-track bundle of joy which includes the hit song “United Against Malaria”, which urges the world to come together to eradicate Malaria listed among the top five killers in Africa. Lily Meka has also set up the Lily Meka Foundation to promote the social causes that she champions. Lily just completed work on her third album which will be launched soon. Lily explains that she joined Artists with One Voice because she believes that every contribution, no matter how small, helps: “I feel the pain of those who have been afflicted by Ebola in one way or the other. I sing from my heart hoping that maybe my voice will help ease their pain. In Africa, we are raised to live as a community, therefore, I don't need an invitation to open my arms for those who’re in pain. I know they too would do same for others. In fact, I wish there was more I could do… I love Africa!”

We AT Sameka Shakelton Foundation are thrilled to share a historic moment at the Yaoundé Cameroon International Airport Simalen, as the SSF-GLOBAL Foundation welcomed Mr. Christophe, founder and President of the Cameroon Festival of North America, to Cameroon. This landmark event sets the stage for the inaugural festival in Washington, D.C., on May 28, 2026.

As Mr. Christophe arrived, he was greeted by our dedicated SSF-GLOBAL team, along with an exuberant dance group representing Cameroon’s rich cultural heritage. Our young leader, Shakaina, presented a radiant flower symbolizing the spirit of SSF-GLOBAL, and delivered a heartfelt welcome speech.

Our airport celebration was a blaze of color, music, and pride,as dancers, costumes, and festival T-shirts filled the air with hope and vibrancy. This journey is more than a festival,it is a bridge uniting cultures, celebrating our roots, and inspiring a global community.
