GOOCHLAND DRIVE-IN THEATER GOOCHLAND DRIVE-IN THEATER Family-oriented drive-in movie theater dreamed up and built in 2009. Admission is 1 ticket per vehicle (with up to 7 people).

We pride ourselves on providing affordable entertainment and food in a wholesome outdoor setting. Our season runs from Spring to Fall (generally March to November)

We typically show Double-Features of new/current-release/retro movies on Fridays and Saturdays.....plus, during the summer, we also open on Sundays and various weeknights with Single-Feature Specials. Our Pre-Show is a favorite of our

patrons.....where we start off the show with vintage movie previews, commercials, and cartoon shorts! Admission and Menu prices are purposely inexpensive....and always the best deal around. Our Snack Bar offers classic American fare + Gluten-Free + Vegetarian options.

*** NO OUTSIDE FOOD, BEVERAGES, CONTAINERS, ALCOHOL, DRUGS ***
(Failure to comply will result in expulsion from the premises without refund. Local law enforcement will be immediately notified for those in possession of alcohol/marijuana.) Showtime at Dusk (the exact start time will vary slightly week-to-week since the sun sets at different times throughout the seasons. We will always post the opening and start times on our page and website :)

Arrive early! One hour before showtime isn't early. Get your favorite spot and enjoy dinner from our Snack Bar -- then let the kids have fun on the playground while burning off some energy before the show starts! We also accept most forms of payment. Restrooms are clean and air-conditioned...with handicap accessibility. Paved Handicap parking is available at our Main Screen.....adjacent to the Snack Bar and Restrooms. Smoking is permitted ONLY in the designated area behind the Snack Bar. No alcohol/drugs...zero tolerance...local law enforcement will be immediately contacted. Quiet, well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome....except....on the Lawn Section at The Grove.

😊 WE'RE FLATTERED by the great advance ticket sales for Toy Story 5, premiering a day ahead of it's national release, THIS THURSDAY at GDIT!

🧐 We thought we'd share some interesting facts about the Toy Story franchise which started nearly 31 YEARS AGO with the original Toy Story movie...

🤠 Woody the Ventriloquist: Early concepts for the original film didn't feature Woody as a pull-string cowboy. He was originally pitched as a ventriloquist dummy, and early script drafts had him acting like a total jerk to the rest of the toys before executives asked for a change.

👨‍🚀 Lunar Larry: Before the team settled on honoring astronaut Buzz Aldrin, our favorite Space Ranger went through some incredibly awkward naming phases, including "Tempus From Morph" and "Lunar Larry".

💪 A Secret Surname: Woody actually has an official last name! According to director Lee Unkrich, the rootin'-tootin' cowboy's full name is Woody Pride.

👱‍♀️ The Missing Barbie: Barbie was noticeably absent from the original 1995 blockbuster. Mattel initially declined to let her be included because they wanted kids to project their own personalities onto the doll, rather than having the movie define her character for them.

With Toy Story 5 likely to be the top-grossing global movie of 2026, we wanted to find another movie to complement it at GDIT.

👉 THE BREADWINNER is a hilarious family movie that we think our guests will LOVE! Clocking in at just 99 minutes, it's the perfect movie to play after Toy Story 5.

🎬 We'll be PREMIERING TOY STORY 5 a DAY EARLY on THURSDAY 6/18 and then playing it nightly through Sunday (to be continued in future weeks as well!).

💥 We've made it into a DOUBLE FEATURE with THE BREADWINNER following Toy Story 5. Guests can leave during intermission if they want to, but we think this new family-friendly comedy is a super add-on to Toy Story 5!

🌠 In The Grove, we've got DISCLOSURE DAY for its FINAL WEEK at GDIT. This Steven Spielberg Sci-Fi film is awesome to see under the stars!

👽 We'll kick off the GDIT week with our WAY BACK WEDNESDAY presentation of E.T. on the Main Screen! If you haven't seen this movie on a big screen (or even if you have), you should seriously consider bringing the family to experience this incredible film. One night only at a special admission rate!

👉 Our gates will OPEN AT 6:30pm nightly - We HIGHLY recommend arriving early to ensure that you beat the rush, enjoy meeting our special guests for photos and meet & greets, have some great food, and check out all the other pre-movie festivities! Movies will start to roll around 8:55pm.
