Our position is that AI is beneficial in the medical, science and technologies arena. However, AI has no place in the Arts. AI steals creativity. Therefore, because recent submissions have been tainted by authors using AI, we are no longer hosting this competition.

Strand Studios for Music, Film and Acting, the Hackettstown Center for the Arts and Paladin Knight Entertainment, LLC under the Artistic Direction of Prof. Chris Lance, is proud to be sponsoring the 2023 Strand Young Playwrights Festival. Prizes in value over $1,000.00 from sponsors will be awarded to young playwrights 9-18 years of age selected from a nationwide competition.
