Here is a VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT... #1.

Later this year, folks in proximity to northern NJ and NYC will have a unique opportunity to see all three of the Wickham-Verse plays in less than a week.

We'll be presenting rehearsed, semi-staged readings of THE WICKHAM WAY, THE WAY FORWARD, and THE WAY HOME in sequence, twice, over the period of 5 days. The venue is in Jersey City, with convenient transit and available parking.

Of course, anyone is welcome to see one, two, or all three plays...whatever works for you, we hope you can check it out!

Three different, wonderful and prolific directors are attached, and we are intending to cross-cast the plays as much as possible.

(Speaking of which...there are lots of great roles for all ages and genders, ranging from a nonbinary teen to a male-presenting octogenarian.)

If you want to keep up-to-date on this unique undertaking, please head over to the page below for more details from time to time. We're super-excited, and we can't wait to see you in Wickham!

Four years since THE WICKHAM WAY got its widest exposure yet, in the New Works Virtual Festival with a stellar cast: Eden Espinosa, Tricia Leigh Fisher, Jenna Leigh Green, Adam Jacobs, and Stuart Pankin. I believe it is still available on YouTube.

I will soon have an exciting announcement about the ENTIRE Wickham-verse Trilogy: THE WICKHAM WAY, THE WAY FORWARD, and THE WAY HOME. Watch this space!

Editing all done, and Act One is in the books! I will proof Act Two and then off it goes.

I learned a few more cool tricks just today which enabled me to hook something on to the ending in a way I doubted I could manage to create. So, yay that!

The time limit for the virtual plays is 2 hours, 30 minutes. With all the credits, etc. TWH will clock in at just over 2 hours, 28 minutes. WHEW!

Tickets are now on sale! Woot!!!

THE WAY HOME will stream June 3rd-9th.

Synopsis: Wickham, Vermont. Liza and her wife Marti are at the center of a large, close-knit family-by-choice spanning four generations. When her brother's child comes out as non-binary, Liza's carefully balanced family dynamic is irrevocably changed. Over the course of one chaotic summer, everyone will be forced to re-examine their views about the true meaning of family and home. Infused with longing, pathos, and gentle humor, The Way Home explores our universal need for connection, understanding, and love.

All scenes are edited. I purchased the software so I can generate the final versions with no watermark.

I'm now taking a painstaking, nitpicky viewing of each scene. Following the script to make sure I didn't accidentally delete anything; doing audio fixes and leveling volumes as needed.

I can see that I'll have to change some camera shots in part of Act II, which was my first try at using the program. I know how to do things much better now.

It looks as though each Act is around 1 hour and 12 minutes. Funny how equal they are!

After finalizing each scene, I'll stitch them together with transitions and put in ending credits.

Tickets go on sale Monday, and I'm also doing a radio interview Monday and starting my own PR rollout...more on that soon.

A sneak peek into the editing process for THE WAY HOME, including a couple of snaps.

I am just about done editing Act One and will put finishing touches on it later (titles and transitions). I also have to purchase the Filmora software in order to take off the watermark (once I'm done).

I.3 is the only one I have to stitch together (due to a reschedule, we filmed half last Monday and half last Tuesday). I'm about 1/3 through that.

On to Act Two by tomorrow or Wednesday...I have already done II.3 rough cut and a start on the brief Epilogue, but I have 34 pages including the monster Dinner Party. That was more or less the last scene we filmed, with 11 out of 13 characters, and we got much smoother at it by then.

More than half the cast (9 out of 13) had read their character before, in HOME during the developmental stage last summer, and in some cases one or both of the other plays. Only 2 out of 13 were brand new to the Wickham-Verse. That all helped immensely!

Next Monday, 5/13, l will be participating in a radio interview along with two other NJ Rogue Theatre Festival playwrights. Watch this space for more info.

5/13 is also the day tickets go on sale. Here is the event link.
