Guymon is soooo fortunate to have two exceptional artists/muralists in town creating a beautiful, Oklahoma themed mural. Amber Anderson and Kortny Miller (Red Dirt Rosie) created paintings for the Open Sky Outdoor Gallery hanging behind city hall a few months ago and now they are back painting an enormous mural on the South side of the building that holds LA Nails near the Main Street railroad tracks

Drive by, stop in and enjoy their work coming to life.

They started with a doodle grid and today are marking blue outlines where their images will be

We are so fortunate to have two amazing and totally unique 10 foot x 10 foot paintings about to be installed in our public art exhibit, Open Sky Gallery. This creative piece was painted by local artist, Alison Clemans.

I HIGHLY recommend Kelly’s art classes. She is a skilled artist and amazing teacher - not to mention a great friend. Take advantage of her willingness to teach local art classes and I promise students will be thrilled.

We are so fortunate to have generous volunteers who answer a call for help. Today Jim Quimby and James Skelton gave their time and energy to load some of our artist’s paintings from our first exhibit and deliver them to Woodward. Jim is also bringing back new supplies for our next exhibit at Open Sky Gallery. Thank you to Jorge Guzzman and his city of Guymon crew for all they continue to do to hang, remove and care for the artwork.

This weeks marks the end of our current exhibit at Guymon’s Open Sky Gallery. These unique and beautiful paintings are being taken down and returned to their artist/creator.

Most of these paintings are available for purchase. Please let us know if you are interested in talking directly to the artist to discuss owning their work.

New work is underway for our second exhibit.

Happy New Year from all of us volunteering to promote and install local public art.

We have finished our second round of applications for Guymon’s Open Sky Gallery and have selected some amazing artwork to be created and exhibited on the city building located at 5th and Quinn. The new exhibit is scheduled to be installed in the spring.

The current exhibit will soon be coming down and artwork will be returned to participating artists. Some will be delivered to buyers or be installed in new locations. If anyone is interested in purchasing a current piece, please contact us via messenger.

We appreciate our skilled adjudicators who gave their time and expertise to curate the upcoming exhibit.

Thank you to everyone who submitted art applications for our next exhibit at Open Sky Gallery. Applications are in the hands of our amazing adjudicators.

Check back with us in January to learn who is going to create original artwork for our community.

We hear you, artists! Many have requested a deadline extension for submitting applications for our second outdoor public art exhibit. We are now accepting applications thru December 6th.
