Thank you to all who attended the High School Swing Show last night! It was a great evening of music and art!

Congratulations to the soloists/groups, Show Choir, and Jazz Band on some awesome performances!

This concludes our music concerts for the 2025-2026 school year. It was another fun and successful year for the CR Music Department!

Music Seniors - thank you for all you have done for CR Music! We will miss you, but are excited to see the great things you will accomplish in your futures! We hope to see you at our future performances! 🦅🎶

The High School Mixed Choir students participated in the Class 1A State Large Group Music Contest, held at Decorah High School, on Friday, May 8. The students performed extremely well, and represented Clayton Ridge in a positive, polished, and professional manner!

The judging was tough again this year at the Decorah site, and there were only three Division 1 Ratings given to Class 1A Choirs all evening.

The Mixed Chorus and Women's Chorus both earned Division 1 (Superior Ratings), and the Men's Chorus earned a Division 2 (Excellent) Rating, missing a 1 by just one point!

Congratulations to all of the students on performing their best, and working hard to receive these amazing accolades! You make CR proud! 🦅🎶

The Middle School Choir participated in the Upper Iowa Conference Vocal Festival on Monday, May 11. The group sang an individual piece, then joined the other UIC schools to form a Mass Choir that sang four pieces! It was a great day; congrats to the kids on some great performances! 🦅🎶

The past two Tuesdays have been great days at the Northeast Iowa 6th Grade and 7th/8th Grade Honor Choirs! The students were excited to learn, grow, and perform (and of course eat at Pizza Ranch for lunch)! The concerts were awesome! Great job to all who participated, and thank you to the families for attending the concerts! 🦅🎶

Congratulations to the CR Choir and Band students on a great showing at today's State Solo & Ensemble contest held at Clayton Ridge!!

There were 14 vocal entries (8 Solos, 2 Duets, 1 Ensemble, and 3 Small Choirs), and we received 8 Division I (Superior) Ratings, and 6 Division II (Excellent) Ratings.

The Women's, Men's, and Mixed Small Choirs all received Division I Ratings, as well as 3 Soloists, and 2 Ensembles.

**Special Congratulations to the Duet of Claire Brandt & Kailey Dempster who received the Outstanding Performance Award from their judge, which was the highest score given in their center for the entire day! They get to perform at the State Outstanding Performance Recital, held in Ames at ISU, in May! This is the highest honor students can receive at this contest!!**

Also, hosting this event takes a lot of help to make it a successful day for our students! To the parents, staff members, school board members, and other supporters that worked today: THANK YOU!!! We appreciate you giving up your time to make sure this is a positive experience for our students and the other students across NE Iowa!

Congratulations to the HS Mixed Choir and Band on an awesome Winter Concert tonight! What a great way to bring on the Holidays!

Thank you to all who ventured out in the cold to support our students - it was amazing to see such a big crowd! Also, thank you to St. Mary's for hosting and allowing us to use your beautiful facility!

Congratulations to the Show Choir and Jazz Band students on an awesome Swing Show tonight! The groups performed very well, and the solos, duets, and small groups were fantastic! It was a great way to end a very fun and successful year!

Seniors, you have been an amazing group to work with throughout the years! You have worked hard, strived for excellence, and always made Clayton Ridge proud! You will be missed, but will do exciting things in your futures - make sure to come back and visit!!

Thank you to the families, community members, and staff that attended tonight's show - your constant support is greatly appreciated!

Also, props to Mrs. Meyer and the CR Art Students for their great Art Show - you do amazing work!
