Artist Bio
After many years working in the printing and reproduction field, Connie began to feel the pull toward fine arts. She began to search for a serious form of study, and found the perfect fit at The Conservatory for Classical Art, Edmond, Oklahoma. Under the expert tutelage of master teacher Leslie Lienau, she attended, and completed, the intensive four year Atelier classes, as well as one year of independent study. During this time Connie developed her own unique style, the elements of Classical and Impressionism are both reflected in her art.

Thanks for the shout out Red Autumn Art Festival

Some passions never really leave us. They wait patiently until we’re ready to give them our full attention.

For artist Connie Rish, that passion was art.

Drawn to creating from a very young age, Connie carried that love with her until, in the second half of her life, she made the decision to pursue it with intention. And she went all in, committing to five years of classical atelier training followed by another year of independent study.

Today, Connie works in oils, a medium she loves for its movement, richness, and remarkable depth of color. She finds her inspiration in the natural world.

Animals, landscapes, botanicals, and especially florals, often with a small bird or insect tucked into the composition, adding a touch of companionship and a quiet story waiting to be discovered.

There’s warmth and charm in Connie’s work. And there’s that wonderful feeling that perhaps we should slow down for a moment and notice the beautiful things around us.

And this fall, you can experience Connie Rish’s work at the Red Autumn Art Festival on November 6 & 7.

Connie is one of the artists who make Red Autumn worth exploring. Come wander. Look closely. Meet artists. Find the piece you can’t stop thinking about.

Because you never quite know what you’re going to discover at Red Autumn. ️

Make your discovery at the Wyndham Fort Smith City Center, 700 Rogers Ave, Fort Smith, AR, on November 6 & 7.

Tag someone who would love Connie’s nature-inspired work, and make plans to experience Red Autumn.
